This is the long version of the price monitoring product page . That page tells you what you need it for. This one tells you how it works and where the limits are.
Price research is manual work, and manual work gets left undone
Ten competitors, thirty products, a check once a week: everyone plans to do that and manages it for about three weeks. After that it slips.
What happens in the meantime, you only notice afterwards. Either you sell above market for days and wonder about your conversion rate. Or you give away margin because nobody has been as cheap as you for a long time.
You add your product once, attach the offers you compare yourself against, and from then on you hear automatically when something moves. Only publicly accessible product pages are observed.
Set it up once, then only the exception reaches you
You say once what you want to know. After that you only hear from us when exactly that happens.
You decide per product, freely combinable:
- A comparison source is cheaper than your reference
- The price difference exceeds a percentage
- The price changes, in whichever direction
- The price falls below a fixed threshold value
- Availability switches, sold out or back in stock
- The price undercuts the observed lowest price of the last 30 days
Setup takes minutes: choose a goal, enter product pages, confirm the preview, set your rules. Choosing the goal already pre-fills the matching rules, so you do not have to assemble anything from scratch.
Pages are observed daily. From the Business plan you can have a fixed number of especially important sources looked at every 6 hours as well. Alerts go out through the alert channels of your workspace, so depending on your settings email, webhook and others. You set the recipients once, and they then apply to all product comparisons.
Better unknown than wrongly guessed
A wrong number is worse than no number. Anyone who reacts to an invented competitor price cuts their own price for no reason.
That is why price monitoring writes “unknown” wherever it is not certain. Before you activate anything, the preview shows what is actually read on every single source, including a confidence rating. If something is off, you correct the address right in the wizard. If a value is never recognised, you report that with one click, we take a look at the page and improve detection for all customers.
We name two limits openly: detection works from characteristics of the page, so a heavily customised theme can look different from the original. And product pages that load their prices exclusively via JavaScript cannot be read today. The preview shows both before you activate anything.
Where your range stands, not just one product
A single price comparison answers very little. The question is where you stand overall.
A header above the list shows exactly that: how many of your products are cheaper, equally priced or more expensive than the cheapest observed offer. One click on any of the three groups filters the list. Inside a product you see your rank in the comparison field and the distance between your reference price and the cheapest offer.
Percentages never stand alone. They always name what they refer to, so that “15 percent” does not turn into the wrong conclusion.
The lowest price the price indication rules ask of you
Anyone advertising a price reduction in the EU has to state the lowest total price of the last 30 days, in Germany under Section 11 PAngV. Doing that from memory goes wrong eventually.
The lowest-price watch reports when an observed price undercuts the 30-day minimum, and the stored history makes it traceable which lowest price applied when. It is included from the Business plan.
Important and honest: this is an observation tool, not legal advice. Complying with price indication rules for your own advertising remains your responsibility.
Your own shop reports its price itself
There is a plugin for Shopware, WooCommerce, Magento and PrestaShop. Once installed, your shop reports its reference price from the inside.
That has three advantages: it is more accurate than reading your own product page, it costs no setup effort per product, and it uses up none of your competitor URLs. Your allowance stays entirely free for the offers you actually want to compare against.
Without the plugin everything works the same way, your own product page then counts as one of the competitor URLs.
What price monitoring is not
So you do not expect the wrong thing:
- No repricing. It observes and reports, it does not change your prices. What you do with the information is your decision.
- No marketplace integration. Marketplaces run through their own interfaces, not through reading public pages.
- No legal advice, see above.
- No substitute for your range strategy. It delivers the numbers, the decision stays with you.
Who this pays off for
- You carry products that others carry too. Then your market moves daily, and today you only notice it by chance.
- You advertise with discounts. Then you need the 30-day lowest price anyway, and you need it evidenced.
- You are a manufacturer or a brand. Then you care whether your product is advertised below RRP in retail.
From the first comparison to your whole range
| Plan | Product comparisons | Competitor URLs | Comparison sources per product | Own products via shop plugin | Price history | Sources every 6 hours |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro (9.90 EUR/month) | 3 | 6 | 3 | — | 90 days | — |
| Business (34.90 EUR/month) | 25 | 50 | 5 | 50 | 365 days | 10 |
| Agency (79 EUR/month) | 100 | 250 | 10 | 250 | 365 days | 50 |
| Enterprise | as needed | as needed | as needed | as needed | 365 days | as needed |
Enterprise starts with everything Agency includes and is negotiated upwards from there.
If a plan is not quite enough, an add-on from Business upwards tops up product comparisons, competitor URLs and sources on the 6-hour schedule. The 30-day price assessment is included from Business. The Free plan does not include price monitoring. All plans side by side on the pricing page .
Before you ask
Do I need technical knowledge? No. You enter the address of a product page, the preview shows what was recognised, you confirm. Anyone using one of the shop plugins skips that entirely for their own products.
Am I tied in long term? No. All plans are cancellable monthly. The trial runs 14 days without payment details, after which you automatically fall back to the free plan without losing data.
Is this allowed? Only publicly accessible product pages are observed: no logins, no paywalls, no circumvention of protection measures. Fetches are product-specific and throttled. Choosing the sources is up to you, and when setting up you confirm that you are entitled to do so. The contractual rules are in our Terms of Service, Section 8a .
What if a site operator objects? They can contact us at any time. We review every notice and respond appropriately, from throttling through to suspension. How we fetch publicly accessible product pages is described on our bot page .
Where is my data? In the EU, GDPR compliant.
Your first comparison is running in a few minutes
Choose a goal, enter product pages, confirm the preview, done.
After that, uptime monitoring is worth a look: the best price is not much use while the shop is unreachable. And if you run one of the nine supported shops, the plugin takes the setup off your hands.
