Check Types in Detail
HTTP and HTTPS
Classic availability checks with configurable headers, request body and methods (GET, POST, HEAD, PUT, PATCH).
- HTTP status codes: Detection of 4xx and 5xx errors, custom expected status codes
- Response times: Millisecond-level measurement with DNS, connect, TLS, TTFB and download phases
- Keyword validation: Succeeds only when a defined word appears in the body (or is missing)
- JSONPath: Extract and verify JSON values from API responses, e.g.
$.status == "ok" - Follow redirects: Follow 301/302 redirects up to the final URL
TCP
Check whether a port is reachable – ideal for databases, mail servers, SSH or internal services.
Ping (ICMP)
Network reachability of a host. A good liveness test for routers, switches and internal servers.

Different intervals are available depending on your plan:

Multi-Region Checks via the Slot Model
Every check can optionally run from multiple regions: EU-Central, EU-North, EU-West, US-East, US-West and APAC. Under the slot model “1 check in 3 regions” consumes three slots – and gives you three independent views on your service so you spot regional routing issues immediately.
- Pro: 25 slots total (e.g. 5 checks x 5 regions)
- Business: 50 slots, +50 add-on available
- Agency: 125 slots, +50 add-on available
- Enterprise: Custom – slot budget and region set defined individually. Up to 22 locations worldwide available, including regions beyond our 6 standard ones.
False Alarm Protection
A check is only marked “Down” when multiple consecutive probes fail or several regions fail at the same time. This avoids false positives from short network jitter.
