It usually happens unnoticed during an update, and nobody spots it until the traffic drops. That often takes weeks, and every one of those days costs visibility you worked hard to build.
One honest boundary up front: SEO monitoring is not an SEO suite. It does no keyword research, no rank tracking and no backlink audit. It makes sure your pages stay visible to Google, which makes it a complement to an SEO suite rather than a replacement for one.
When your own protection software locks Google out
Not every loss of visibility is in your source code. Sometimes it is a new protection rule at your host or security provider that turns the Google bot away with an error. To your visitors the page looks perfectly normal, to Google it is closed.
- We flag that as blocked and name the provider that is turning us away.
- A page we cannot reach never counts as a success. That is how it appears in the report.
- Our bot page explains how to allow our monitor through your protection software.

Extra watchful around your next website update
The biggest risk does not come from everyday operations, it comes from the hours after a change to your website.
- You switch it on with one click. Before the update, not after it.
- Hourly for 24 hours instead of the normal rhythm.
- Then it switches back on its own. A banner with a countdown shows how long it is still running.
That way you notice a mistake in the window in which it is still cheap to fix.

You do not have to know where to look
Four technical settings decide whether a page is allowed to appear on Google. They run along automatically, complete in every plan.
robots.txt: is your address allowed for the bot at all?<meta name="robots">andX-Robots-Tag:noindexandnofollow, in the source code and in the HTTP header. The second one is easy to miss, for instance after a change to your CDN.<link rel="canonical">: points where it should, and not to your staging environment.

Before and after instead of “something has changed”
Once something has happened, the alert decides whether you fix it in a minute or search for an hour.
- Old and new value side by side. Not the news that something has changed, but what has changed.
- Decided in ten seconds. The alert is a compact table, not a debugging session.
- Critical cases float to the top. You mark one state as good once, and that reference point is the yardstick from then on.

Plans
| Plan | SEO URLs | Check rhythm |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 URL | weekly |
| Pro (9.90 EUR/month) | 5 URLs | daily |
| Business (34.90 EUR/month) | 25 URLs | daily, every 6 hours on request |
| Agency (79 EUR/month) | 100 URLs | daily, every 6 hours on request |
| Enterprise | on demand | on demand |
Every plan includes the full set of signals; there is no reduced version of the check. JavaScript rendering for pages that build their content in the browser is included in the monthly allowance from Business. All plans side by side on the pricing page.
Before you ask
Does this replace my SEO suite? No, see above. A suite watches your position against the competition, we watch whether your pages are allowed to be indexed at all.
How do you fetch my pages?
One address per check, plus the robots.txt once per host. We respect rate limits, back off when a page turns us away, and we do not crawl your site: no link traversal, no stored session data.
What if my page builds its content in the browser? By default we check the delivered HTML response without JavaScript. From Business you enable JavaScript rendering for individual checks; the wizard shows beforehand how much of your monthly allowance is left.
What does this look like in the application? Step by step, with every screen, in the article SEO monitoring in detail .
Where is my data? In the EU, GDPR compliant.
What does one mistake actually cost me? That depends on your revenue and on how long it goes unnoticed. Enter both in the SEO noindex cost calculator and you get the number in seconds.
